Our main thing is to dress comfortably.
There is no dress-down or dress-up at St. Andrew's.
The children participate in the worship up to the children's message, and then they will go to their Junior Church in the education wings with their teachers (unless parents/guardians would like them to stay with them, then they may go back to their seat). During the hymn of sending forth (closing song), the children are invited to return to the sanctuary to receive the benediction along with the rest of the congregation.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their children to the worship service, and allow them to be themselves; no worries about them disrupting the service. Our worship service is not some sort of a contemplative spiritual session to make us all feel we have meet our religious obligation--No. Our worship service is a joyful celebration of the things God is doing in our midst (and children are part of this celebration).
The parking lot is accessible through the 20th St.
Feel free to use the guest parking, or a space that is convenient for you.
An elevator is available at the parking lot entrance.
Worship gathering is the most common first step to get connected with St. Andrew's.
We all are then invited to grow through our participation in Sunday School class/life groups/TRADE (training in discipleship and evangelism), etc.
Glowing is when we serve as volunteers in one or more church ministry, and take up role as leaders in ministry. Not all leadership positions required professing membership, but we encourage our congregation to move toward becoming members, because it opens up more opportunities to help the local church to achieve its vision and mission.
So--GATHER, GROW, GLOW.
St. Andrew's is a neighborhood church with the feeling of a traditional church setting. There is a self-serve coffee bar at the 20th St. entrance. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the hospitality offered by our welcome team. Some like to bring their coffee into the sanctuary. Make yourself at home. Sunday is always a home-coming at St. Andrew's.
